Built for measurement, not for the stage

A conventional boom stand weighs six pounds and doesn’t fit in anything. It’s the last thing you want to carry into a client’s living room, up a ladder, or onto a noise monitoring site. This one weighs 14 ounces and folds to 16 inches.

Exactly ear height, every time

The stand locks anywhere in its range rather than at fixed detents. Set the mic at true seated ear height for a cinema calibration, or standing ear height for an environmental noise reading — not at whatever height your stand happens to click into.

It travels

At 16″ folded it goes in a backpack, a laptop bag, or a carry-on. If you fly to jobs, that’s the difference between checking a bag and not.

Light enough for a cinema seat

Set it directly on the seat at the reference position. No stand base fighting the seat cushion, no tripod legs blocking the aisle.

Mic and iPhone on one stand

The included holder puts your phone on the same stand as the microphone — one thing to carry, one thing to place. Set it at the measurement position and read your levels from the mix position.

Opens in seconds

Pull out, twist, done. The legs open to a 10″ footprint for a stable base, and the black anodized aluminum rod extends smoothly to full height.

Fits the calibration case

The foam in our calibration case is cut for this stand, so the two travel together as one kit. There’s room for two stands if you work in stereo or run before-and-after comparisons.

Works with your existing mics

The universal clamp accepts standard measurement microphones, and the 1/4-20 mount ships with an adapter to 5/8″-27 — the thread on most measurement mic clips.
