Audio Coverage Uniformity, or ACU, is based on a new standard developed by ANSI and InfoComm, released in June 2017. The standard is 102.01:2017, and its purpose is to measure and quantify how evenly the sound system covers the room. Basically, a number of measurements are done throughout the venue, and the differences are tabulated and compared, to arrive at an overall value.
Please see the specification for complete details on this test. We support all requirements of ACU, including allowing the user to define the number of measurement locations (ACUMLs), measuring ambient noise levels, testing each ACUML using an advanced windowed spectrum analysis, and tabulating and presenting results in a manner that the specification requires.
