You can control another iOS device running our standalone Generator app from within AudioTools on your main iOS device. Make sure both devices are on the same WiFi network before beginning.
For example, use an old iPhone or iPad with a 3.5mm headset / microphone jack, and attach a 3-ring 3.5mm plug, and plug the other end into your sound system input or a mixer.
On this device, download the Generator from the App Store. (Not AudioTools).
Start the Generator app on the this device. Tap the WiFi symbol to open the connection page.
Next, back in the AudioTools app on the main iOS device where you will be running an app like RTA or FFT, open the Utilities->Generator page, and tap the WiFI symbol on that page. You should see the other iOS device listed in the table. Select the other iOS device, and you will be linked.
Now, when you access the built-in AudioTools generator from any module in AudioTools on the main device, the control commands will be sent to the other iOS device running Generator instantly.
Generate pink noise, run sweeps, trigger ETC, generate speaker distortion or polarity signals, or play the STIPA test signal.
This feature requires a separate purchase of our Generator app, and a WiFi network.
